2025’s Hottest Fashion Trends

It’s that time of year where everyone is having a fashion identity crisis and figuring out their next vacation outfit. Not to worry, 2025 is bringing back some old favorites with a sexy, modern twist. We’ve seen them all before, we’ve even grown up with them, but they’re back and better than ever. Start creating those Pinterest moodboards now because here’s what I think will be 2025’s hottest fashion trends.

Micro Shorts and Oversized Jacket Combo

Yes, micro shorts are that girl. I’m not talking about early 2000s micro shorts even though those are c*nty, but more like “These shorts are way too short for school, but I’ve styled them nicely so they don’t give off that dress code violation vibe”. Anyways, think of super mini tailored, sequin, or leather shorts paired with sheer black or lace tights, and some statement knee-high boots. To elevate the look even more, tight bodysuits/ fitted tops or a chunky sweater with a unique boxy, bomber, or trench coat. Add a belt if needed, and voila! This combo gives off a mix of 90s models and Parisian street style. Pairing tiny shorts with an oversized jacket makes the outfit look stylish and intentional rather than incomplete. 

The Animal Print Revival

Cheetah, leopard, zebra, 2025 is bringing animal print back in a way that feels hot, luxurious, and that feeling that makes you want to book a tropical, expensive trip. Instead of the classic tight cheetah dress from your 2010s days (we all had one), you’re going to see animal printed faux fur coats, midi and mini skirts & dresses, printed boots, bathing suits, sheer pieces, and trench coats that make a loud statement without screaming for attention. Make sure to not to go above and beyond when wearing prints otherwise your outfit will clash. Keep your outfit pretty neutral or monochrome, and add the animal printed pieces to create a bold look.

Suede Everything

Suede is making a comeback with rich brown jackets, slouchy boots, fringe bags, and even full suede sets that channel a modern Western appearance. Whether in classic tans, warm caramel, deep reds, navy blue, and forest greens, suede adds a 70s retro touch to any outfit. Its soft and smooth feeling texture upgrades a look, making it feel more polished and expensive. Plus, it goes effortlessly with other staples such as a suede mini skirt with tall boots or a suede jacket layered over a lace dress for a cute little hippie look.

Shades of Yellow (Pastel, Butter, Lemon, & More)

Reminiscing Kate Hudson’s iconic yellow dress from “How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days” because 2025 spring and summer (and a little bit of winter) is gonna see a whole lot of the softest, dreamiest shades of yellow. From pastel, almost white hues to creamy butter tones, yellow is about to be everywhere, giving outfits a subtle, chic, and fun pop of color especially in the middle of winter. There’ll be flowy midi dresses, oversized blazers, cozy knits, and accessories like bags and scarves that’ll be seen in stores and online. Since yellow can go with many other colors, it’s a perfect staple color to throw in your wardrobe this year. 

Maximalism: More is Actually Better

Goodbye minimalism, you were extremely boring anyways. In 2025, fashion is all about piling it on. Chunky belts are being stacked over everything like blazers, oversized knits, and more while also being styled as a low-rise moment on dresses and denim. Jewelry gets bolder with chunky charm necklaces, stacked bangles, and big statement earrings with unique designs, multiple rings, even mixed metals all matched together for a one of a kind look. We can’t forget about layering our clothes. Maximalist fashion is here to stay, whether it’s random pieces of fabric, multi-layered jackets, turtlenecks or T-shirts, skirts or dresses layered over jeans, a funky combo, or an insane amount of accessories. 

Polka Dots Are Indeed Classy

At first, you might think polka dots are a bit much or clown-like, but it is far different from the playful prints we wore during our childhood.
