Is Cheetah Print Back in This Fall?

By: Kamilyah McMiller

With it being the first week of fall, our favorite brands are already on the mend to create what they think will be the best trend transition this season. Better yet, some are already a month ahead into their new season catalogs. We’ve seen this with the rise of bows, neutrals and denim throughout the year. But, now these companies are in favor of another untamed design, cheetah print.

Cheetah print has made its way into the fashion world throughout many decades. From bikinis, cut-out patterns and fur coats to even The Cheetah Girls and their colored pieces. Over the years, wild patterns have lost their spark and we often turn to our timeless simplistic attires. While there’s nothing wrong with our beloved layering pieces, sometimes a pattern is all you need to spice up an outfit. Especially, if you’re willing and able to try something new and pull it off in the process.

According to Vogue, “cheetah print can be a daunting addition to a wardrobe”. Most could also agree that we’ve seen a printed item and gone, “what would I even wear with this?”. But, unlike other trends, cheetah print comes in many different forms and shapes. Which can become easier for us to determine what designs cater to our own personal aesthetic.

In addition, brands like Abercrombie and Fitch, Pacsun, Princess Polly, American Eagle and more have begun styling the looks on their media platforms. Which also helps us fashionistas to form ideas of how to uniquely carry the print in our wardrobe. Some of these ideas were kitten heels, boots and contrasting with black to make the outfits look more sophisticated and put together. Others include matching cheetah printed outfits that can be stacked with jewelry or a simple handbag. And who doesn’t want an excuse to wear their favorite bag that tones the look of the wild.

If all goes well to the trendsetter plan, we might see more of this comeback in the upcoming seasons as well. So, let's grab our patterns and make our outfits cheetahlicious this fall!
